Domestic Violence

In circumstances where a party to a domestic relationship has been the subject of abuse or violence, this party can apply to the Magistrates Court for a Domestic Violence Order to be made.

In order for the Court to make a Domestic Violence Order in Queensland, they must be satisfied that a relevant relationship exists, that an act of domestic or family violence has occurred and that the making of an Order is desirable and/or necessary.

Family violence is an area that is taken seriously by the Courts, and can often have significant implications on any ongoing disputes with respect to parenting.

At CSD Law , our solicitors are experienced in dealing with issues of family violence and can provide expert representation in either applying for a Domestic Violence Order or responding to any application brought against you.
